Tuesday Tea Quote...

I found a new tea brand that I instantly fell in love with once I had my first taste: Good Earth.  A few weeks ago Shop Rite sent out a coupon for the brand (maybe that's because the hubby buys me about 7 boxes a tea every other month!) so I had to take advantage of it (they even sent two teas with it).  The original brand tastes like a red hot; it's fabulous, especially with a little bit of almond milk.  They've also got great quotes on their tea bags, so my tea quote tuesday might just give you some better quotes to mull over...

"All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them."

Tea Time Fridays...

I've really been enjoying my Fridays with my girlfriend Trish.  It's been so nice to have a best bud in the same town, and we're finally making the time to see each other!  We've always had a friendship where if we are too busy to talk, we can always pick up right where we left off the next time we see each other.  I love that kind of friendship; the one where you always know that a friend will be there, even if they can't keep in contact all the time.  With families, work, relationships, budding marriages, procrastination, and the thought of children on both of our minds, we're making time for each other with the other things that we have in common—old movies, Betty White, and a cup of hot tea...

It's a perfect start to my day and a perfect end to hers; she comes over after work, which is before my work starts.

Every once in a while you just need a hot cup of tea and a great friend who understands your ins and outs... most of the time we never end up watching a movie, we end up talking about our lives and what's been happening during the week since we've seen each other.  So here's to high tea Fridays and a great cup of tea; just another reason to say TGIF.

Tuesday Tea Quote...

Today's tea quote seems fitting for the conversation that I had with a friend today.  We both love to sing and it brings joy to our lives... sometimes it's just hard to find the nerve to sing your song...

Tuesday Tea Quote...

Lately, I've been drinking some different teas: camomile, peppermint, black cherry, jasmine green... If you know me, you know I'm a tea lover; plain, honey, lemon, sugar, or milk, it doesn't matter as long as it's tea.  I just love the ones that come with the little quotes on the tea bag.  When I was a kid we used to only drink Salada Teas and they always had witty sayings or just sayings that sounded like fortune cookies and made no sense.  I think that on Tuesdays I'll share some of my favorite ones that I find... I can't wait to tell all about our trip to Indianapolis, but flying kicks my butt... so until I recover, enjoy my first tea quote...

"Re-examine all you have been told... Dismiss what insults your Soul."
—Walt Whitman

Oh yeaaa...

So today feels like my first lazy day in a long time and I have to admit, I'm loving it! I know that I should be more productive and get some exercise in, but I just have no energy. I did try to get my upcoming bride-to-be friend to go for a walk with me but she's feeling a little under the weather. I'm waiting for the hubby to leave for the gym and then I'm going to do my pilates video and my wii fit. I need it. I've been so busy with work and school- I just haven't been able to get my ass to Jen's classes or hit the pavement or hit the gym. I've been doing some schoolwork and catching up on my fitness and self magazines. I've got some great tips and some great recipe ideas. I can't wait till I have the time to put these new ideas into action. When I do have the time to cook, I'll post the recipes. Promise.

I have to admit, this is my kind of day.

I'm heading towards cup of tea number four and it's 6 p.m. I had my usual two apples with almond butter for breakfast and about an hour ago I had some air popped popcorn with some butter spray and garlic. I love this as a snack— even if I treat it as a meal because I eat a big bowl of it, but let's just say, my stomach loves me for all this fiber that I consume when I eat my big bowl of popcorn.

Right now the hubby is home because he's catching up on some work stuff for a test he has tomorrow for a possible promotion. I hope he does great because he deserves to. By the time I get home from work tonight he'll already be sleeping, so I'm enjoying the fact that the two of us have time to just sit on the couch together— snuggled beneath a king size blanket, not really saying a word, and doing our work. This is my kind of day.

Yesterday, I think I possibly consumed 10 cups of tea. I think I'm becoming totally addicted to its warm deliciousness. Today, I've been drinking green mint tea, but I'm going to switch it up for my next cup which is brewing right now: Blueberry green tea. Oh yea— just enough of a hint of blueberry and the rest green tea. It's pretty much a perfect addition to my green tea cabinet of choices... did I mention that this is my kind of day?
